Examining Character and Misogyny in the Wedding Scene | Great Performances: Much Ado About Nothing

These videos from Great Performances: Much Ado About Nothing help students analyze the wedding scene of the play. Students will decide how they might emphasize emotions in selected lines, and then compare with how the directors and actors perceived and performed those same moments. In a follow-up video, Professor Ayanna Thompson and Director Kenny Leon discuss underlying themes and direction choices in The Public Theater's production. Support materials include discussion questions and a handout to guide viewing.
