Students will view and discuss segments of the video series Austin Revealed: Chicano Civil Rights in order to identify the organization La Raza Unida and explain their goals; analyze the origin and significance of the term “Chicano;” and examine the development of a new Chicano cultural identity. Students will add culturally-relevant artwork to their poster project.
