Satire, Parody, and Humor in Catch-22 | The Great American Read

In this lesson plan, students will explore definitions of satire, parody, and humor, and will ask critical questions specific to passages in the novel. Students will write brief analyses of the elements of satire in the novel, and determine how the meaning of the novel is affected by employing humor.
