Mental Health in the Curriculum | You Are Not Alone

Mental health counseling is part of the core curriculum in the Pulaski County, Kentucky, schools. A teacher there explains how he makes time in class for counseling. Jeremy Cole, a music teacher at a middle school in the Pulaski County, Kentucky, realized that many of his students were dealing with mental health challenges and made it a priority to help his kids work through their problems. Lori Price and Dusty Phelps of Pulaski County Schools, who oversee counseling services, talk about a comprehensive student assessment and treatment program and how better staff training has led to more students getting help.
