Explore the career of a Whale Naturalist! Learn what it’s like to work aboard a boat in search of whales and marine life. Students will gain insights from Kera, a Whale Naturalist at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. This video series will investigate the skills necessary to be successful, a typical day in this role, opportunities to gain experience, and the challenges and benefits of this STEM-based career. This series will also introduce students to whale diversity and highlight conservation efforts through the partnership with the Southern California Whale Research Collaborative.
