In this lesson, students will identify, evaluate, and analyze Ellison’s multiple depictions of invisibility and visibility through the narrator. They will also examine and determine Ellison’s rhetorical purpose/theme through these depictions and assess the verisimilitude and relevance of the narrator’s invisibility and visibility to students’ own concepts and comprehension of invisibility and visibility, and difference.
