Students create their own trickster tales and then make a puppet show in an after-school and summer arts program at Whitley County Primary School. Teaching artists Jennifer Rose, Talleri McRae, and Alfredo Escobar collaborated on the project with special education teacher Cindy Shelley. In this video, the teaching artists offer general advice for teachers on implementing a multi-step project, from inspiring children’s creativity to making the project budget friendly. Drama students from Whitley County High School also helped in the project, and the teaching artists describe how participants learned to use their voices for dramatic performance.
