Pre-1500 Era | Lesson 4b: Schultz Site - Beginnings of Pottery in Nebraska

The Schultz Site is where some of the earliest pottery in Nebraska has been found. This image is of an ancient house floor. The reason the Schultz Site is so valuable is because so many people once had houses here, and layers of trash pits and fire pits add to the bits of daily living—pots, weapons, tools, and jewelry—that help archaeologists reconstruct the past.
