Characterization in Theater | Arts After School
Teaching artist Dane Hosler visited Whitley County High School to work with drama teacher David Sweet and his students on characterization. The students worked on dramatic monologues, meeting after school once a week for a month. Hosler describes the variety of his work as a teaching artist, including improvisation and staging, and explains how he deals with time constraints in an after-school program. Sweet offers advice for teachers who wish to start an after-school program.
