Teaching artist Pat Ritter visited Burkesville Elementary School to work with arts and humanities teacher Dana Duvall on a summer arts camp. Ritter describes how she taught the class, showing them examples of art and using a poster to remind students of the steps in the process. She advises teachers to reach out to artists in their communities for ideas on how to do a summer art program, and to consider what is age and ability appropriate for their students.
