The rose (Rosa) is a perennial flowering plant with over 100 species. More than 35 million years old, it can be found all over the world. Roses generally take the form of a shrub or vine. Most roses have sharp protrusions on their stems called thorns. The blooms of this plant come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors.
