Scarlett O'Hara's True Love in Gone with the Wind | The Great American Read

One of America’s best-loved books is Margaret Mitchell’s Gone with the Wind. But it's not an easy novel to understand or discuss. Filled with romance and nostalgia, Scarlett O’Hara’s journey does not address the problems of slavery and can be painful to read. Yet this book prevails as a tale of gumption, courage, and of course, love.
