Spotted wintergreen (Chimaphila maculate) is a perennial evergreen herb that grows in Central America and eastern North America. This plant is endangered in Canada, Illinois, and Maine and vulnerable to endangerment in New York. However, it’s common in Eastern and South Central Kentucky.
