Goldenrod | KET Image Bank

The goldenrod (Solidago) is a perennial plant found throughout North America in fields and meadows. There are over 130 known species of goldenrod. It can spread over vast areas in a relatively short amount of time. It has been the state flower of Kentucky since 1926 and Nebraska since 1895.
