The yellow-bellied slider (Chrysemys scripta scripta) is an aquatic turtle that grows eight to 10 inches in length. Females are generally larger than males. The bottom portion of this slider’s shell is mostly yellow, while the upper shell is black and brown with some yellow markings as well.
