Ruby-throated Hummingbird | KET Image Bank

The ruby-throated hummingbird (colubrisa) is the most common hummingbird species in the eastern half of North America. The smallest hummers weigh no more than a dime! They are extremely territorial towards other hummingbirds, insects, and small animals.
