KSPS's Sovereign Nations is a two-part series that tells the story of how the Native American soverign nations of the Inland Northwest came to be. 

The relationships that began forming when fur trappers first came to the Northwest in search of riches affect the way the government and communities interact with Native Americans to this day.

Episode one of this documentary series focuses on the arrival of Europeans on Native American land, treaty enactments, and critical battles between the Native American tribes and European settlers.
