Pearl Harbor Day, (Grades K-5)

Students will learn about World War II and its impact on Wyoming as part of the Pearl Harbor Day observance. In the accompanying lesson plans (found in Suport Materials)  students will watch short video clips describing Pearl Harbor Day and life in Wyoming during World War II. Students will answer questions tied to the video and collectively define vocabulary used in the video.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Students will watch clips of a documentary to study Pearl Harbor Day and World War II.
  • Students will use whole class strategies to describe and interpret information about Pearl Harbor Day. 
  • Students will practice speaking and listening skills.
  • Students will use independent and whole class strategies to describe, interpret, and analyze key components of Pearl Harbor Day and the impact World War II had on people in Wyoming.
