In this interview, 2015 MacArthur Fellow Juan Salgado, shares his commitment to addressing workplace barriers faced by immigrants and building the human capital of immigrant communities. Salgato, a community leader, has led the Instituto del Progreso Latino, where he helped to develop education programs that prepare participants for higher-paying employment in manufacturing and health care, sectors where there is a growing demand for a diverse, multilingual workforce.
