This video introduces The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowship Program and celebrates the work of award recipients from a diverse range of fields, disciplines, and professions. Often referred to as the “MacArthur Genius Grant,” the MacArthur Fellowship awards $625,000 in unrestricted funding to talented individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits as well as a marked capacity for self-direction.
