Together we sing the “Hola” song, and Sra. Alicia and Susana greet each other and review intensity by inviting the students to sing the ¿Como te llamas? song both suave (softly) and fuerte (loudly). Afterwards, Sra. Alicia invites the students to join in saying the “Chocolate” chant while clapping their hands in a steady rhythm at a lento (slow) tempo and then at a rápido (fast) tempo. She then reviews commands through a motion activity. Students follow Sra. Alicia’s directions to salta (jump), camina (walk), baila (dance), and corre (run), sometimes slowly and sometimes quickly. At the sound of a trumpet, Sra. Alicia asks students to join in counting eleven trumpets and then introduces the number doce (twelve). The lesson closes with the “Adios” song.
