Scaled Images of the Solar System

Learn about the scale of the solar system in this gallery of images from NASA. The first image shows two different models of the planets at different scales. The upper part of the image illustrates the relative sizes of the planets and their correct order from the Sun, but the distances are not represented. The lower part of the image illustrates the relative distances of the planetary orbits, but the sizes of the planets are exaggerated. The second image is an infographic about the relative sizes of the planets and their distances from the Sun. The third image shows the largest moons and smallest planets of the solar system on the same scale.
