Understanding Climate Change: Lesson Plan | Nature Works Everywhere

This set of activities explores the relationship between weather and climate with students using local data to derive their own definitions. Students will examine the ways that humans have impacted Earth by analyzing real data and online interactives to discover why scientists are calling this the “Anthropocene.”

Students will determine how well their home state is prepared for the impacts of climate change and will explore ways that nature can be harnessed to create resilient communities in the face of changes like sea level rise.
