The Sun in Motion

This video of the Sun, captured in ultraviolet light by instruments on NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory spacecraft, shows solar activity that is not visible to the human eye. Active regions on the Sun surrounding sunspots appear brighter in ultraviolet light. Frequent solar eruptions and flares can be seen in these active regions.
