Indian Pride, Heroes: Part 1

JuniKae Randall hosts a collection of interviews about Native American heroes. Grace Thorpe, Sac and Fox Tribe, Oklahoma, speaks about world famous athlete Jim Thorpe, and the 1912 Olympics. Lyle St. Goddard, Blackfeet, is a firefighter from Glacier National Park in Montana who talks about the Chief Mountain Hotshots, one of the few Native American firefighting hotshot crews. Senator Byron Dorgan from North Dakota discusses the need to celebrate well-known Native American historical leaders such as Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, and Chief Joseph.
