The Issue of Slavery | Lincoln: "I, Too, Am a Kentuckian."
In 1849, Lincoln returns home to Springfield, Illinois. The Whig Party is divided over the issue of slavery, and Kentuckian Cassius Clay and others join the Liberty Party, which wants to abolish slavery.
