The Address | Chapter 1: The Gettysburg Address at The Greenwood School
Students at the Greenwood School are tasked with the challenge of memorizing and publicly reciting The Gettysburg Address-a rite of passage that dates back to when the school first opened in 1978. The students have a combination of learning differences, such as ADHD, dysgraphia, dyslexia, and executive functioning. Many arrive at Greenwood after a history of being marginalized and bullied in other schools. At Greenwood, they will focus on what they do well and build on that success.
