The Merry and Bright History of Holiday Lights | Know Ohio

The first string of electric holiday lights was created by the inventor of the light bulb from Ohio, Thomas Edison.  One of Ohio's first public displays of holiday lighting was in 1924 at Edison's General Electric campus in East Cleveland.  Witness how this display continues to shine each year.  Then, explore another Ohio holiday light display at a large water powered grist mill, Clifton Mills, in Clifton, Ohio.
