The Day the 60's Died

Learn about the tumultuous period in the United States history when the unpopular War in Vietnam sparked a wave of anti-war demonstrations at college campuses across the nation including the May 4, 1970 Kent State protests. During this demonstration, four student protestors were shot dead by national guardsman and the nation became even more divided as anti-war and pro-Nixon factions reacted to the tragic event.
