Minnesota Legacy Short | John Hanson: Northern Lights

Learn how in 1978 John Hanson set out to produce a low budget film set in North Dakota chronicling the Nonpartisan League, a political movement in the early 1900s that sought to give farmers a voice in their own destiny. The film was the surprise winner of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 1980.
