Japan National Anthem (Audio)

The national anthem of Japan, "Kimigayo" (The Emperor's Reign), was adopted in 1999 although had been in use unofficially since 1883. The lyrics (attached as support materials below) date back to the 10th century and are the oldest anthem lyrics in the world. The anthem's focus on worship of the emperor and military has raised some opposition.
