League of Denial: Concussion Watch
Discover which football positions are most vulnerable to concussions, according to officially reported injuries in the NFL, in this interactive from the FRONTLINE: League of Denial website. The interactive shows the number of concussions suffered by offensive and defensive players by position, team, and player name in the 2012 through 2014 seasons. Cornerbacks had the most concussions (23) followed by safeties and wide receivers (20 each). For background on CTE, a progressive, degenerative brain disease linked to concussions and milder brain injuries, watch Introduction to CTE and review How CTE Affects the Brain. This resource is part of the FRONTLINE Collection.
