Shadows: Science Talk

Watch a center-based educator engage her preschool children in science talk as the group participates in hands-on activities from the PEEP curriculum Explore Shadows. When children explore science, they need to talk about their work just as scientists do—asking questions, making comparisons and predictions, and sharing and discussing results. Learn a variety of professional development standards, including discussion and questioning techniques, ways to engage and communicate with children, how to use project-based learning to spark their curiosity, and strategies that build upon children’s interests and backgrounds. This resource is part of the Peep and the Big Wide World: Professional Development Collection.
