Mr. Kenneth Assmussen, born April 2, 1923 in Ohio, enlisted in the Army as a Technician 5th grade and served in Italy. In his interview, Mr. Assmussen remembers training in the desert of North Africa, and talks about how everyone should go into the Army for two years to become a better person.
