Mr. James R. Weed, born in Chattahoochee County, Georgia on December 29, 1926, was a Private First Class in the Army Infantry, a part of the 9th division who served in Germany. Mr. Weed describes seeing Normandy after D-Day and all of the sunken ships in the harbor, also describing being in the same box car as concentration camp victims.
