World War II Veteran Donald P. Burgess - 
Aviation Machinist's Mate First Class, Navy | Georgia Oral History

Mr. Donald Burgess was an aviation machinist and an enlisted aerial navigator during World War II. He was born July 13, 1924 and is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Burgess tells about the "forgotten war" fought on American soil in the Aleutians and Kodiak. Mr. Burgess' experiences also include engagements on Tenyan, Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Attu.
