In this episode of NJEA’s Classroom Close-up, students at Broad Street Elementary in Gibbstown engage in a before school program designed to get their bodies moving and brains ready for learning! Based on current research that shows physical activity can stimulate brain cells associated with learning, Broad Street staff and parents paired up to get kids jumping, building, and running toward academic success. In addition to its learning benefits, staff notes the program is a great opportunity for older students to be leaders among younger students and for staff and students to have fun together outside of the classroom!
