Barrios de Puerto Rico: Indieras de Maricao

Las Indieras de Maricao es una de las regiones más inaccesibles de Puerto Rico. Su posición geográfica sirvió de refugio a los Taínos de la isla. Esto permitió la subsistencia de éstos y la preservación de nuestra herencia étnico indígena. 

The Indieras de Maricao is one of the most inaccessible regions of Puerto Rico.  Its geographical location served as refuge to the Taínos indians in the island which allowed for their survival and the preservertation of Puerto Rico's ethnic indigenous heritage.
