What, How, Where? | The Art Assignment
At the Service Center of Indianapolis, we're introduced to Florian Riviere and Jim Walker, two artists who compose recyclable, ordinary materials into colorful, unique pieces. Riviere and Walker have also invented a game—"What, How, Where"—which combines unusual words together and the resulting action phrase is expected to be carried out by the players. This game has a built in element of chance to encourage new experiences, and host Sarah Green highlights how chance has always been a part of the art making process, especially during the Surrealist movement in the 1920’s.
