Intervention: What Works | Women & Girls in the Criminal Justice System | Lesson 6
This lesson is designed to help students further their knowledge of existing resources in their communities and strengthen the skills needed to connect with them. Teens in need struggle to access available resources, or those resources are not adequate to meet their needs. In some cases, they may not be aware of or have enough confidence to take the initiative to reach out for help. The benefits of the Troop 1500 program as an example of successful intervention will be more deeply examined. Students will also examine another cutting-edge intervention model targeting teens at high risk for contact with the criminal justice system.
