The Makgadikgadi Pans

This video segment adapted from Nature: The Great Zebra Exodus features an overview of the Makgadikgadi Pan complex, an area in northeastern Botswana. The segment describes how the complex was formed thousands of years ago and provides information about the rough climate and terrain in the area. Due to the lack of rain and water sources in the Makgadikgadi Pans, each year the zebras have to travel long distances to find water when the complex has dried up.
