This clip from Lincoln@Gettsyburg focuses on President Abraham Lincoln's use of the telegraph during the Civil War. A new tool for the battlefiled, the telegraph allowed Lincoln to both communicate directly to his generals in the field, and also to quickly transmit information to the people of the United States as no other President had before.
