Supporting New Principals in the Early Years

The first year for a new principal can be a daunting and lonely job. Supporting new principals with strong induction programs, ongoing mentorships (possibly for several years), and forums which encourage principal interaction with colleagues in other schools are all vital ingredients in early success. Outside entities such as the Wallace Foundation have provided financial resources to allow much of this to happen.
