Assimilating in America
Assimilation is a tricky issue. Immigrants in a new country need to familiarize themselves with the local customs and language in order to succeed. On the other hand, immigrants also need to preserve their own culture and feel accepted. In this clip, an immigration attorney explains that she believes the U.S. is a great place for immigrants because they have the freedom to come and work for their dreams, but the country's diversity also allows for the practice of many different cultures.
