Why Study GIS? | Geospatial Revolution

In this clip from The Geospatial Revolution Project, from WPSU Penn State public broadcasting, the importance of studying geospatial technology is explored. GIS can be used to process information in the time of emergencies, such as wildfires. By layering information gathered from a variety of satellites to calculate things such as risk in a time of crisis, or before the crisis occurs to help with prevention and preparation.
