The Human Spark | Language Development

In this video from the Human Spark, Alan Alda discusses what makes us human with cognitive psychologist Elizabeth Spelke. Dr. Spelke notes that there are few differences between capacities of what human infants aged 4-6 months old can do and the infants or adults of other animal species. This observation leads her to believe that the element making us uniquely human is language.
