Nature | Salmon: Running the Gauntlet - Restoring Streams
Dams, specifically in the American northwest, block salmon runs to spawning areas. In this Nature video, learn how removing dams can result in the restoration of salmon populations and lead to the return of healthy rivers and streams. This video also addresses the need to find alternative sources of electricity, better transportation routes, and different ways to irrigate land to alleviate stress on the environment and to create the conditions needed for salmon to return.
This video is available in both English and Spanish audio, along with corresponding closed captions.
