Building Blocks Unveiled: The Story of Macromolecules lesson can be used for High School Biology -Honors or CTE Biotechnology classes.  This lesson includes supports for multilingual learners at the Bridging proficiency level. 

This lesson offers opportunities for students to use precise science vocabulary to convey ideas about how macromolecules are formed and their importance in understanding disease.  Students work in groups to create a presentation about a particular macromolecule.  As part of the assignment, students create stop motion videos demonstrating how the macromolecule is formed through the process of dehydration synthesis.  An example of a student video is included and all monomer pieces needed for production of student video is also included as well as basic teacher instructions.
