This resource is designed to help students engage in inquiry-based learning while exploring the concept of magnetic fields. Using the Claim-Evidence-Reasoning (CER) framework, students will analyze experimental observations, draw conclusions, and develop scientific reasoning about the existence and effects of magnetic fields.

The activities align with NGSS Standard MS-PS2-5, which focuses on planning an investigation to provide evidence that fields exist between objects even when they are not in contact. This lesson follows a hands-on investigation from the previous class session, where students gathered evidence about magnetic fields. Today, students will analyze their data and construct their CER explanations.
