Sprinkle Kindess Donut Writing and Craft

This craft was created to use with the story the Jelly Donut difference by maria Dismondy. You can read the book to the class or show the you Tube version of the story.

Use this craft to create a fun kindness donut. Students will write ways they can be kind on sprinkles that will be glued to the donut.

Prep: copy the donut outline onto brown paper and the frosting and sprinkles onto colored paper. Copy the sentence starter that will be attached to the donut. These can then be hung up in the classroom for a fun bulletin board.

Create an anchor chart for students asking them to contribute ideas on ways they can show kindness. Students can use these ideas to write their ideas on the sprinkles for their donuts. a pages of sprinkles with preprinted kindness acts have be included if students need the scaffold.
